May The 4th ‘Star Wars’ Autism Benefit Landing At Barefoot Bernie’s

Posted By on May 1, 2017

The Empire is descending on the Outer Banks once again this Thursday for a special Star Wars Day charity event to benefit Surfing For Autism, happening at Barefoot Bernie’s in Kitty Hawk on May The 4th.

In recent years, May 4 (#MayThe4thBeWithYou) has become an unofficial day of celebration for Star Wars fans around the galaxy, known as “Star Wars Day”.

Local members of the 501st Legion Carolina Garrison Star Wars cosplay group will be at this Thursday’s event, in costume as various characters from the Star Wars movies and available for photos.

Surfing For Autism is an Autism Spectrum Disorder awareness event each summer on the Outer Banks, where each child is provided two surfers and a skilled therapist or teacher to introduce them to paddling, surfing, and a new way to have fun in the sun.

Come out and celebrate Star Wars Day on May The 4th, this Thursday, from 6 to 8pm at Barefoot Bernie’s Tropical Grill and Bar in Kitty Hawk.

We’ll see you there!
