One hundred volunteers and town staff, along with Town mascots Elvis and Grabbie, met at the lot north of the Kill Devil Hills Fire Station for the town’s annual Trash Attack community clean-up this past Saturday, April 1.

According to the Town’s Public Services Department, over 21 cubic yards of trash, along with 2 tons of bulk items, were collected as a result of the event.

Additionally, all Trash Attack poster contest entrants will be recognized at the upcoming May 8 Kill Devil Hills Board of Commissioners meeting at Town Hall.

Event co-chair Sandie Markland said, “The 2017 Trash Attack community clean-up proved to be a grand success. Kill Devil Hills enjoys terrific support from the Town staff and the entire community. KDH is definitely one of the coolest towns in America.”
