Alien Life is discovered in theaters this week, while a new group of Power Rangers suit up and a new duo of California motorcycle cops hit the highway on the big screen, as The Shack remains open at The Pioneer.

Leading this week’s new releases the feature film adaptation of the popular TV series and toy brand, Power Rangers (rated PG13), opening Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills with a special preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7pm.

It’s (mighty) Morphin time in the official trailer below!

Another classic TV show gets the big screen treatment with the comedy CHiPs (rated R), also opening Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:10pm.

Also new this week is the sci-fi horror movie Life (rated R), starting Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with a special preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30pm. 

Starring Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal, you can check out the official trailer in the player below! 

The spiritual drama The Shack (rated PG) comes to the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, continuing a two-week run through March 30.
