Kill Devil Hills Trash Attack Is Back

Posted By on March 23, 2017

The Town of Kill Devil Hills’ annual Trash Attack! community clean-up will be held on Saturday, April 1 from 9am to 1pm.

Volunteers will meet and register at the lot beside the Kill Devil Hills Fire Station, located at 1634 North Croatan Highway (US 158), beside the Dare Centre.

Once registered, volunteers select what area of Kill Devil Hills they want to help clean up. The town provides disposable gloves and garbage bags for the volunteers that make a difference in our community.

Kill Devil Hills will be divided into five clean up zones, each headed by a Zone Captain. Everyone will travel to the zone where they want to work or where they are needed most.

Captains will direct Trash Attackers to the Zone Drop Off Sites to drop off the litter collected.

After a great time of cleaning up our community, everyone meets back at Trash Attack Headquarters for refreshments.

In 2016, over 100 Trash Attack volunteers collected more than 16 cubic yards of litter and garbage.

A rain date has been reserved for the following day, on Sunday, April 2, from 12:30 to 4:30pm.

For more information or to pre-register for the event, please visit the Trash Attack webpage at http://www.kdhnc.com/694/2017-Trash-Attack-Event or contact Kill Devil Hills Town Hall at 252-449-5300.
