OB-Xscape Rooms Coming To Southern Shores
The Outer Banks will finally get its own escape room experience when the new OB-Xscape Rooms officially opens this summer in Southern Shores.
For those who are unfamiliar, an escape room is a physical adventure game in which players are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within a set time limit, or having completed a mission.
The games are physical versions of “escape the room” video games, and they are set in a variety of fictional locations, such as prison cells, dungeons, and space stations. Escape rooms have become hugely popular throughout the country in the last decade, very popular as team building exercises.
One of the first rooms confirmed for the local attraction will be called “Mutiny on the Lark” and will fittingly feature a pirate theme.
The official website is still under construction, but it promises several different types of rooms to choose from.
The initial series of escape game rooms will be opening in May at OB-Xscape Rooms, located in the Southern Shores Crossing shopping center in the town of Southern Shores.
