Outer Banks Halloween International Film Festival Now Taking Submissions!

The 2nd Annual Halloween International Film Festival returns to Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina this October 26-28, 2017 during HalloWeek on the Outer Banks, presented by Halloween Daily News and OBX Entertainment, featuring independent films submitted from around the world.

Film submissions are now being accepted through Film Freeway (click the link below). The Early Deadline for submissions is March 31, and the final Last Call Deadline is July 20.

All Festival film screenings will once again be shown at RC Theatres Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, accompanied by nightly after parties, as well as costume contests, Scaryoke, special guest Q&A panels, and more Halloween events to be announced.

The 2017 Halloween International Film Festival will be followed by the 4th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head.

The mission of the Halloween International Film Festival is to promote the artistry of independent films made in the spirit of creativity, support the future of cinema by providing exposure for talented visionary filmmakers, and celebrate a collective passion for Halloween.

Local Outer Banks-based filmmakers may be eligible for a submission fee waiver, upon request via email to [email protected]

Interested filmmakers can submit their completed projects digitally through the online film festival platform of FilmFreeway by clicking the link below, or a DVD/Blu-ray can be submitted through the traditional mail but must be accompanied by a registration form, which can be downloaded here.

Any physical entries should be mailed to 400 West Sothel Street, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948, along with the completed registration form, and required submission entry fee.
