Split personalities get scary in theaters this week, while Xander Cage returns, as The Pioneer takes Passengers.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of January 20, 2017!

Leading this week’s new releases is the new thriller from director M. Night Shyamalan, Split (rated PG13), starting Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with a special preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30pm.

Also new this week is the action sequel XXX: The Return of Xander Cage (rated PG13), opening on Friday at R/C Theatres KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:40pm.

A special one-night-only presentation from Fathom Events, Woody Harrelson directs and stars in Lost in London Live (rated R), which will be shot in real time and broadcast live as it happens, showing at R/C Theatres KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills tonight (Thursday) at 9pm .

Finally, the sci-fi adventure Passengers (rated PG13) comes to the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, starting Friday and playing for one week ( through Jan. 26).
