Outer Banks ‘Star Wars’ Fans To Gather For Lightsaber Vigil
Fans of Star Wars are all invited to join the Outer Banks Halloween Society at a lightsaber vigil in Kill Devil Hills this weekend.
Attendees are urged to bring your lightsabers, flashlights, – any thing that shines – to help light up the sky in memory of Star Wars icons Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Kenny Baker (R2 D2), both of whom passed away in 2016.
Star Wars-themed costumes are encouraged but not required.
The event will begin just before sunset with a fun photoshoot, followed by a Memorial Walk around the fitness trail.
The Outer Banks Lightsaber Vigil is happening this Sunday, Jan. 15 at Aviation Park, located on Veterans Drive in Kill Devil Hills, from 4:30 to 5:30pm.
