Weekend Movie Update – Dec. 1, 2016: Christmas with Rifftrax
To make way for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, there are actually no new releases opening locally in theaters this week, though the Rifftrax gang is presenting a holiday special double feature tonight (Thursday), while Doctor Strange arrives at the Pioneer.

The Rifftrax Special Holiday Double Feature celebrates Christmas.
The latest adventure in Marvel’s ever-growing superhero movie universe, Doctor Strange (rated PG13), starts Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, playing for one week (through Dec. 8).
Showtime at the Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

For one night only on Dec. 1, our friends at R/C Theatres Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills will be showing the Rifftrax Holiday Special Double Feature, which includes Santa Conquers the Martians and Christams Shorts-stravaganza back on the big screen tonight (Thursday) at 7pm.
