Weekend Movie Update – Nov. 24, 2016: ‘Bad Santa’ Is Back

Bad Santa is back for more badness in theaters this week, while The Rock gets animated, Brad Pitt is Allied, Rules Don’t Apply for Warren Beatty, and Tolls pop up at the Pioneer.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the holiday Thanksgiving weekend of November 24, 2016!

The new animated adventure Trolls (rated PG), starts Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, playing for one week (through Dec. 1).

Showtime at the Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Leading this week’s new releases is the return of Billy Bob Thornton’s drunk Saint Nick in the comedy Bad Santa 2 (rated R), which opened yesterday (Wednesday, Nov. 23) and is now playing at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.

Also new this week, Disney’s latest animated adventure Moana (rated G), starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is now playing at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.

Warren Beatty (Dick Tracy, Bugsy) directs and stars in the true story of Howard Hughes, Rules Don’t Apply (rated R) is also now playing at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.
