Weekend Movie Update – Nov. 18, 2016: ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Unleashed

Fantastic Beasts arrive in theaters this week, while a new drama is on the Edge of Seventeen, and an Inferno heats up the Pioneer.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of November 18, 2016!

Eddie Redmayne discovers ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’.

Tom Hanks stars in the latest sequel to the Da Vinci Code, the thriller Inferno (rated PG13), starting Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, playing for one week (through Nov. 24).

Showtime at the Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Leading this week’s new releases is the Harry Potter spin-off Fantistic Beasts and Where To Find Them (rated PG13), opening Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 6:45pm.

Also new this week, the coming of age comedy The Edge of Seventeen (rated R) opens on Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:40pm.
