Weekend Movie Update – Sept. 2, 2016: ‘Light’ Drama

There is Light in theaters this week, while two legendary fighters get back in the ring, and The Pioneer gets Bourne again.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of September 2, 2016!

Alicia Vikander stars in ‘The Light Between Oceans’.

Matt Damon is back as the super spy action adventure Jason Bourne (rated PG13), playing at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo for one week, through Sept. 8.

Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Apocalypse) and Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) find romance as a married couple of lighthouse keepers in the drama The Light Between Oceans (rated PG13), opening Friday at RC Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.

Also new this week, the boxing drama Hands of Stone (rated R) tells the story of the real life rivalry between Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard, now playing at RC Theatres.
