Weekend Movie Update – Aug. 19, 2016: ‘Dogs’ of War
Two stoners become War Dogs in theaters this week, while Ben-Hur rides again and Kubo finds his Two Strings.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of August 19, 2016!
The third film in Warner Bros. Pictures’ newly established DC Extended (movie) Universe, it’s time to shine a spotlight of some of DC Comics’ most infamous bad guys in Suicide Squad (rated PG13), continuing its run at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo through August 25.
Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.
Suicide Squad stars Jared Leto as Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, and Ben Affleck resuming his cape and cowl from Dawn of Justice as Batman.

For one night only, you can see Rifftrax Live doing a comedy commentary of the classic monster movie Mothra (1961) tonight (Thursday) at 8pm.
Headlining this week’s new releases is the comedy War Dogs (rated R), opening Friday at RC Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with preview screenings set for tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 and 10:10pm.
