First Friday Events Take Over Manteo on July 1

First Fridays on the downtown Manteo waterfront are always big events with numerous activities happening for the community and Outer Banks visitors, but this Friday is July 1, a mid-summer extravaganza that may just be the biggest First Friday of the year.

For starters, The Packaway Handle Handle band will be performing 6-8pm on the Bluegrass Island porch as part of their ongoing series of free porch concerts.

At the same time, Just Playing Dixieland will be live at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery, Jeremy Russell will playing at Old Tom Street, and Roaming River Hippies will be playing at Avenue Grill, all scheduled from 6 to 8pm, followed by Q&A with Friends at Poor Richard’s from 8 to 11pm.

The “queen of bluegrass” Rhonda Vincent and her band The Rage is also performing live in concert at Roanoke Island Festival Park on July 1, starting at 8pm. Click here for ticket information!

Additional activities will be happening and shops will be open for First Friday starting at 4pm this Friday, July 1 on Manteo’s historic waterfront. 

There is no admission fee to attend First Friday.
