Lost Colony Live At Waterside 2016 Concerts Announced

The “Live at the Waterside” concert series has just revealed its 2016 lineup, again following their trend in recent years of bringing top notch tributes to legendary music acts, as well as a modern L.A. folk band, to the most historic stage on the Outer Banks, home of the longest running symphonic drama in America, The Lost Colony, this year featuring World Turning Band: The Live Fleetwood Mac Experience, Who’s Bad – The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute, and Dawes.

The Lost Colony is proud to announce The 2016 Live at the Waterside Concert Series presented by PNC Bank. This summer, experience live music at one the 10 Best Outdoor Concert Venues you shouldn’t miss (USA Today) on Roanoke Island’s The Waterside Theatre, home of The Lost Colony

The concerts bring the Outer Banks a memorable lineup on three Sunday’s this summer. Three bands feature something for everyone.

JUNE 19

On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19th, World Turning Band: The “LIVE” Fleetwood Mac Experience kicks off the series performing the legendary band’s top 40 hits. Witness the Nashville-based band capture the very essence of Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and crew as they provide a fully immersing experience of Fleetwood Mac’s greatest songs from the early days through Stevie’s later work. Bring dad and the entire family and enjoy impeccable musicianship, stage presence, vocals and harmonies.

JULY 3

On the eve of Independence Day, Sunday, July 3rd, enjoy folk-rock band Dawes, co-sponsored by 99.1 The Sound as part of their 20th Anniversary celebration. On Sunday, July 3rd, groove to Dawes’ harmonies and 1960’s-70’s Laurel Canyon folk-rock instrumentals similar to that of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young. “Rock’s thoughtful past has rarely sounded more vibrant,” according to David Browne of Rolling Stone.

AUGUST 7

The final night of the 2016 series is not one to miss! Watch the King of Pop reincarnated on stage with Who’s Bad – The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band on Sunday, August 7th. As the longest-running Michael Jackson tribute band, Who’s Bad has continued to impress fans all over the world for the last 10 years. Performing from MJ’s expansive catalog, Who’s Bad will ignite the audience at the Waterside Theatre with their jaw-dropping choreography, and unparalleled rhythm and instrumental sections.

Regular admission tickets for World Turning and Who’s Bad are $20 in advance, and $25 the day of the concert. VIP tickets (premium seating in the front few rows) are available for $40. Dawes regular admission tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of, and VIP tickets are available for $45.
