“We are proud to have the Dare County School Art Show return for its 16th year. Each year visitors to the show are inspired by the creativity of our student artists,” says RIFP Executive Director, Kim Sawyer.
An opening reception will be held on Sunday, April 10, from 2 to 4pm.
The exhibit will run March 28 through April 28; Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and will feature the works of Manteo, First Flight and Cape Hatteras High Schools.
The reception and show are free and open to the public.
Come witness the passion, originality and promise in these youthful artists. The exhibition features two and three dimensional handcrafted art including: ceramics, stained glass, wood and fiber art, mixed media, digital art, printmaking, sculpture, paintings, drawings, and photography.
The efforts of Dare County students will fill the Art Gallery from floor to ceiling with an explosion of color and variety. Dare County art teachers excel in taking their students to the edge of their creative capacities with fresh perspectives. The students are encouraged to explore concepts, techniques, mediums, styles, history and subject matter. Don’t miss this inspiring exhibit!
