Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – March 18, 2016: Pledge ‘Allegiant’
The Divergent series pledges Allegiant in theaters this week, while Miracles from Heaven happen, and Jesus is Risen at The Pioneer.

Shailene Woodley stars in ‘The Divergent Series: Allegiant’.
Telling the Biblical story of Jesus Christ through the eyes of a Roman Tribune in Judea tasked to find the missing body of the executed Jew, Risen (rated PG13) starts Friday at The Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, playing for one (through March 24).
Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Leading this week’s new releases is the third installment in The Divergent Series: Allegiant (rated PG13), opening Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:10pm.

Also new in theaters this week, Jennifer Garner (Elektra) stars as the mother of a a 10-year-old girl with a chronic disorder who finds herself cured after surviving an accident in the inspirational drama Miracles From Heaven (rated PG), opened yesterday (Wednesday) at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.
