Triple “D” Happy Hour Tour

When Guy Fieri visited the Outer Banks a few years ago, he stopped at some of the best restaurants on the East Coast, and this new event is your chance to follow in the footsteps of the famous Food Network TV host. You will visit three of these restaurants and sample the food and drink that made them famous and featured on Guy’s show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Launching on two buses where 40 guests (20 per bus) will get a scenic tour of the Outer Banks on their way to visit these three great restaurants. Attendees will meet at 1:30pm at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Kill Devil Hills, where the tour will begin.

After stops at Ortega’z in historic downtown Manteo on Roanoke Island and the Black Pelican in Kitty Hawk, the tour will proceed to the Outer Banks Brewing Station in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, where you will enjoy a small plate portion of their famous shrimp ‘n grits and “the Flight”, which consists of four handcrafted 5oz. beers, all brewed on premise under the famous turbine. Then you will be returned to the Ramada.

The $73.50 ticket price includes your food, drink, and transportation, but you are encouraged to bring some pocket cash for tipping your servers. The bus is BYOB (bring your own bottle) beer and wine only (no liquor), so if you want to bring along a beverage for the ride, it is no problem.

4-Course Dinner and a Movie

This is a unique chance to watch the critically acclaimed foodie movie The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014; rated PG), starring Helen Mirren, on the big screen at the Brewing Station and also enjoy a 4-course dinner based on the dishes that are showcased in the movie.

The film tells the story of a feud between two adjacent restaurants in a French town, one of which is operated by a recently relocated Indian family and the other is a Michelin-starred restaurant.

There are two show times for this event, with the first beginning at 5pm and later screening starting at 8pm. Tickets are $52.50.
