Brewing Station Gets Outer Banks Ranked Among Best Craft Beer Resort Towns
The Outer Banks was singled out as one of 6 of America’s Best Resort Towns for Craft Beer in a new list published by CraftBeer.com, thanks the area’s innovative local brewers at the Outer Banks Brewing Station.
The site says, “The Outer Banks are rich with aviation, colonial, and military heritage. Those seeking to discover historical innovation and intrigue, breathtaking natural lands, fresh seafood, and a laid back culture have long favored this windswept archipelago.”
The article goes on to specifically cite the Outer Banks Brewing Station and their Olsch Kolsch, explaining “Outer Banks’ Ölsch is a lively, light and breezy ale befitting the wind-powered brewpub. It pairs equally well with the abundant seasonal seafood offerings and the brewery’s frequent live music performances. Ölsch is crisp and refreshing, coming in at a sessionable 4.8 percent ABV. Enjoying Ölsch near where the Wright brothers first took to the sky will have you floating on air.”
Other local breweries that got a shout out in the feature include Full Moon Brewery and Cafe in Manteo and Weeping Radish Farm Brewery in Grandy.
Additional craft beer-friendly resort towns that made the list include The Caskills, New York; Sunriver, Oregon; Lake Tahoe, California; Jackson, Wyoming; and Big Sur, California.
