Bright Star Touring Theatre, a national professional touring theatre company based in Asheville, NC will present A Dickens Tale in the Indoor Theatre at Roanoke Island Festival Park on Saturday, December 5, at 3:30 p.m. (doors open at 3 p.m.).

Tickets are $5 and may be purchased in advance at Ticket Sales at RIFP or the day of the show. Ages 5 and under are free.

A Dickens Tale is a 45-minute, fast-paced version of the literary classic, A Christmas Carol, and introduces audiences to the mean old man named Ebenezer Scrooge. Content in a life of misery, Scrooge is visited upon by a variety of entertaining and insightful ghostly visitors who encourage him to change his miserable life.

Changed by the visits, he transforms into a jolly, holiday loving man! The show features all the classic characters from old Scrooge, bumbling Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, the three ghostly visitors, a hilarious beggar woman and more—all played by just two professional actors. Seen by audiences across America, A Dickens Tale, has long been a holiday tradition and is a heartwarming tale of friendship and generosity.

Bright Star Touring Theatre serves nearly a thousand audiences annually with a variety of programs and has routinely performed at the National Theatre and across the country. For more information about the company visit brightstartheatre.com.
