Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – Nov. 20, 2015: ‘Hunger Games’ End
Jennifer Lawrence returns to the role that made her a household name for one last round of Hunger Games, as Mockingjay Part 2 opens in theaters this weekend, while Seth Rogan hunts for a buzz on Christmas Eve and Julia Roberts uncovers a Secret.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of Nov 20, 2015!
Futuristic heroine Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) is back to lead the rebellion against the oppressive all-controlling government of Panem in the fourth and final film in the Hunger Games franchise, Mockingjay Part 2 (rated PG13).
The sequel officially opens tomorrow (Friday), playing at both the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo and R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, but you can see special preview screenings tonight (Thursday) in Kill Devil Hills at 7, 7:20, and 8pm.

Another new release playing locally this week, The Night Before (rated R) stars Seth Rogan (Knocked Up, Neighbors), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises), and Anthony Mackie (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) as pals looking to party hard while visiting their hometown on Christmas Eve, and of course hilarity ensues.
Also opening Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30pm, you can watch an official trailer for this film in the player below!
The drama Secret in Their Eyes (rated PG13), starring Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman) and Nicole Kidman (Days of Thunder) investigating the brutal murder of a teenager, also opens on Friday in Kill Devil Hills, with an advance preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 8pm.
