Posted By on November 5, 2015

As part of Outer Banks Veterans Week, Dare County Arts Council has published a schedule of events and ceremonies for veterans this month, which you can find below.

For the third consecutive year, Dare County Arts Council¬ and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau have partnered to promote Veterans Day on the Outer Banks throughout the second week of November. Outer Banks Veterans Week is presented by PNC Bank, and will include a myriad of events and ceremonies for veterans, active duty service members and their families.

The centerpiece of Outer Banks Veterans Week is the Outer Banks Veterans Writing Project, a free two-day writing workshop taught by veterans for veterans and active duty service members. The program takes place at the UNC Coastal Studies Institute in Wanchese, November 14-15, from 9am to 5pm.

Registration for the workshop can be found at www.VeteransWeekOBX.com, or it may be requested via email by contacting [email protected]. Interested parties may also follow the project on Facebook at www.facebook.com/obxvwp.
