‘Star Wars’ 501st Legion Carolina Garrison Lands In Kill Devil Hills [Photo Gallery]
The first ever Outer Banks “Young Adult Con”, a mini comic-con celebration, took place at the Dare County Public Library in Kill Devil Hills this week as part of the library reading group’s ongoing summer series, titled “Every Hero Has a Story”.
Attendees were encouraged to dress up as their favorite superheroes and other literary or pop culture characters.
The Empire made a special appearance in the form of the 501st Legion Carolina Garrison, a group of local Star Wars fans (pictured below), who were in full homemade costumes as troopers and other characters from the Star Wars movies.
