Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – Aug. 7, 2015: ‘Fantastic Four’ Reborn

Marvel’s original superhero team the Fantastic Four are back in theaters this week, while a mysterious Gift arrives and Shaun the Sheep hits the big screen.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of August 7, 2015!

Fantstic Four

The ‘Fantastic Four’ arrive in theaters.

Fantastic Four (rated PG13) arrives to save the day, opening Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo and at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, where there will be advance preview screenings tonight (Thursday) at 8 and 10:20pm.

Showtime at the Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Also, happening this today, July 24, the Outer Banks Children at Play Museum is once again presenting free family film screenings every Friday this summer as part of the Movies on the Sound program, continuing this week with the animated comedy Big Hero 6 (rated PG). Click here for a preview!

Also new this week, the thriller The Gift (rated R) opens Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, with preview screenings tonight at 8 and 10:25pm.

Finally, for the kids this week there’s the big screen adaptation of the popular show Shaun the Sheep (rated PG), which opened Wednesday and is now playing in Kill Devil Hills.
