North Carolina Romance ‘Paper Towns’ Opens In Theaters [NC Film]
Filmed throughout Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus, Gaston, and New Hanover counties, North Carolina, the romantic drama Paper Towns, based on the best selling novel by John Green (The Fault in Our Stars), opens in theaters tomorrow.
Playing locally at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills starting tonight, Paper Towns stars Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad). Paper Towns is a coming-of-age story centering on Quentin and his enigmatic neighbor Margo, who loved mysteries so much she became one. After taking him on an all-night adventure through their hometown, Margo suddenly disappears, leaving behind cryptic clues for Quentin to decipher.
The search leads Quentin and his quick-witted friends on an exhilarating adventure that is equal parts hilarious and moving. Ultimately, to track down Margo, Quentin must find a deeper understanding of true friendshi and true love.
Directed by Jake Schreier (Robot & Frank), the film also stars Austin Abrams, Halston Sage, and Justice Smith. The screenplay was written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber.
Paper Towns opens in theaters on July 24.
