May The 4th Be With You: Celebrate Star Wars Day in Kitty Hawk!
May the Fourth be with you!
For fans of the Star Wars movie franchise, the date of May 4 each year has been adopted as the official holiday celebrating all things that we love about that galaxy Far, Far Away, and this year, as Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens approaches, the celebration comes to the Outer Banks, with members of the famed Star Wars cosplay group The 501st Legion in attendance to help raise money for charity.
The all ages event will feature a bake sale, food, face painting. light saber building, and photographs with special guests from The 501st Legion.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.
The Star Wars Day fun is happening this Monday, May the 4th, from 3 to 6pm at Walmart in Kitty Hawk.

UPDATE: We also just learned of photoshoot with the 501st Legion Carolina Garrison happening this Sunday, May 3, starting at 8am at the very Tatooine-esque Jockey’s Ridge State Park in Nags Head.
