Kill Devil Hills Hosting Historic Landmarks Open House

The Kill Devil Hills Historic Landmarks Open House is coming up this month.

The self-guided tour of a sampling of the historic homes will began with a reception for recent  historic home designations at the Town Hall starting at 1pm on April 17.

Participants will be given a map and guidebook of the properties and they will have  from 2 to 5 p.m. to tour those that are open.

The event is free and open to the public.

The open houses include the Hall Home at 2401 N Va. Dare Trail ; Pappendick-Heath House 302 N. Va. Dare Trail ( shown in photo); The Woolard  Cottage at 1229 S Va. Dare Trail ; Christian-Small, at 2021 S Va. Dare Trail; and more to be added.

The Historic Landmarks Commission was developed to identify preserve and protect the heritage, history, architecture and culture of the Town of Kill Devil Hills. Currently, the inventory of Historic Landmarks is 26.

The Kill Devil Hills Historic Landmarks Open House will be held on Friday, April 17, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Kill Devil Hills Town Hall.
