Theatre of Dare Presents 'Godspell' in March
The cast for the third production of Theatre of Dare’s ongoing 24th season are now diligently working on bringing you their next play, Godspell, a reverent, uplifting musical beginning the first weekend in March.
Based on the Gospel of Saint Matthew, Godspell deals with the last earthly days of Jesus Christ and dramatizes several well-known Biblical parables set to a catchy pop/rock score (including the hit song “Day By Day”).
The production is directed by Don Bridge and Jimmie Lee Brooks III, with musical director Gretchen Bender.
Godspell opens at 7:30pm on Friday, March 6 at the COA (College of the Albemarle) Auditorium in Manteo, with additional showtimes set for 7:30 on March 7, 13, and 14, and two Sunday matinees at 2pm on March 8 and 15.
