Cape Hatteras Ranked 5th In Travel Channel 101 Sand n' Surf Hotspots

The Travel Channel recently posted its new countdown of 101 Sand n’ Surf Hotspots, ranking Cape Hatteras National Seashore on the Outer Banks as number 5 in the countdown.

The site says of Cape Hatteras, “As one of the largest preserved parcels of the Outer Banks, this national seashore stretches across 70 miles of coastline. It encompasses seven villages on Hatteras Island and provides visitors with undisturbed, scenic beaches, as well as some of the prettiest natural drives on the East Coast.”  

Red Beach in Greece napped the top spot, while nearby Virginia Beach also placed on the list, ranked at number 66.

A TV special featuring the Top 20 among the 101 Sand n’ Surf Hotspots premieres at 9pm tonight (February 18) on the Travel Channel.
