Country Showdown Talent Search Coming to Kelly's, Nags Head
America’s largest country music talent search returns to Kelly’s in Nags Head this weekend!
Dixie 105.7 is bringing the 2014 Country Showdown to Kelly’s on the outer Banks. Dixie is giving you a chance to get in on America’s largest country music talent search! The Showdown has helped put musicians the likes of Garth Brooks, Sara Evans and Chris Young on the road to stardom, and we’re looking for the next big star to take home the $100,000 grand prize.
If you think you have what it takes to be the next winner, send us a sample of your musical talent! Contestants will be chosen for the preliminary competition set for Saturday, Sept. 13th, which will be held at Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern. Send your demo (three minutes or less) as an mp3 to [email protected]. You can also drop off or mail a CD at our studios in Nags Head.
For the last 30 years the Country Showdown has helped put hard working local musicians on the road to stardom. You could be the next big winner and take home the $100,000 grand prize.
Currently in its 33rd year, the Country Showdown has helped put hard working undiscovered musicians like Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, and Brad Paisley on the road to stardom, and now they are looking for the next big star to take home this year’s grand prize.
In addition to Brooks, Keith, and Paisley, other former contestants include Carrie Underwood (pictured below), Billy Ray Cyrus, Leann Rimes, Tim McGraw, and Martina McBride.
The 33rd Annual Country Showdown preliminary competition comes to Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head this Saturday, September 13, from 1 to 4pm.
National recording artist Carrie Underwood is a former Country Showdown contestant.
