Celebrate July 4th at Roanoke Island Festival Park Free Concert and Fireworks
Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo is set to host their annual Independence Day celebration this Friday on the Fourth of July, featuring a live concert and fireworks.
Pack up the lawn chairs, blankets and picnic and bring family and friends as the nation celebrates with the music of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band, featuring 38 professional Airman-musicians whose backgrounds include advanced degrees in music and performances with world-class musical groups.
The concert band travels throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania presenting programs for more than 250,000 people annually. Their achievements have resulted in local, regional and global recognition and they have earned several military awards including eight Air Force Outstanding Unit awards, Five Air Force Organizational Excellence awards and three Colonel George S. Howard Citations of Musical Excellence for Military Concert Bands.
The USAF Heritage of America Band remains at the forefront of communicating Air Force core values and preserving and enriching America’s military and musical heritage into the 21st century.
This Friday’s July 4th celebration at Roanoke Island Festival Park , with music by the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band and fireworks provided by the Town of Manteo, will begin at 8pm in the Outdoor Pavilion.
Musical selections will include patriotic standards.
Fireworks will begin at dark.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Parking will be available at the Park until the lot is full with additional parking in Downtown Manteo. Handicap parking will be available at the Park.
The event is free and open to the public.
