Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – May 23, 2014: ‘X-Men’ Assemble
Mutants assemble the ultimate superhero team when the X-Men return to theaters this week, while Adam Sandler reunites with Drew Barrymore for a hilarious vacation, and it’s Draft Day at The Pioneer.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the Memorial Day weekend of May 23, 2014!
Premiering this Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo and playing for one week, Kevin Costner (Man of Steel) and Jennifer Garner (Electra) star in the sports drama Draft Day (rated PG13).
Showtime at the Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Headlining this week’s new releases is the biggest superhero ensemble ever assembled in X-Men: Days of Future Past (rated PG13), starting with preview screenings tonight (Thursday) and officially opening Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10, playing in both 2D and 3D formats.
Uniting an all-star cast from all of the previous X-Men movies, this seventh entry in the mutant franchise features Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games), Hugh Jackman (Prisoners), Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Ian Mckellen (The Hobbit), Michael Fassbender (Prometheus), James McAvoy (Wanted), Halle Berry (Catwoman), Ellen Page (Juno), and more.

Also new in theaters this week is another cinematic reunion, this one featuring the great comedy duo of Adam Sandler (The Wedding Singer) and Drew Barrymore (E.T.) in the new family adventure Blended (rated PG13), also premiering with preview screenings tonight (Thursday) and opening on Friday in Kill Devil Hills.
