Shallowbag Beach Music Festival Kicks Off Outer Banks Summer [Concert Preview]

The first ever Shallowbag Shag Beach Music Festival is coming to the Outer Banks this Memorial Day to officially kick off the local summer music season, with an all-star lineup of talent, including The Tams, The Embers, Jim Quick & Coastline, The Holiday Band, and The Carolina Breakers, live in concert at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.

Hemilright Entertainment Inc. is pleased to announce that the Shallowbag Shag Beach Music Festival will be held this Memorial Day, May 26th at the Roanoke Island Festival Park. Located in downtown Manteo, North Carolina, the festival will begin at noon and thanks to the festival’s generous sponsors, Towne Bank, Ace Hardware and Atlantic Realty of the Outer Banks, this festival will play host to some of today’s top beach music artists, venders and plenty of fun for everyone.

Gates open at 11am, music starts at noon. Lineup includes: The Carolina Breakers, The Holiday Band followed by Jim Quick & Coastline, The Embers, and The Tams.

“The Outer Banks are synonymous with great beaches and memorable sunsets, the perfect setting for enjoying your favorite live beach music with family and friends,” said Cory Hemilright, Outer Banks Bluegrass Island Festival promoter and CEO of Hemilright Entertainment, Inc. 

In addition to special VIP seating available, there will also be a dance area. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 for general admission, or $60 for VIP seating (which includes seating in front of the stage, preferred parking on the Island and a festival bag). Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at the gate for $30.

Island parking is limited, festival attendees may park at Manteo High School. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes from the High School to the concert location beginning at 11am.

The event is rain or shine, however, in the unlikely event the festival is cancelled due to weather, tickets will be good for any upcoming Shallowbag Shag Beach Music Festival within the next two years.

The innaugural Shallowbag Shag Beach Music Festival is happening on Memorial Day Monday, May 26, in the outdoor pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.
