Dorothy returns to Oz in theaters this week, while the new Neighbors get rowdy and Noah builds an Ark in theaters at The Pioneer.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for this weekend of May 9, 2014!

From the director of Black Swan and The WrestlerNoah (rated PG13), the epic biblical tale of the titular character building the Ark to survive and save the world’s animals from a flood God plans to send to destroy mankind, starts Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, playing for one week.  

Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Starring Russell Crowe (Gladiator, Man of Steel), Emma Watson (the Harry Potter films), and Jennifer Connelly (Requiem for a Dream), you can brave the watery theatrical trailer using the player below!

Seth Rogan (Knocked Up) and Rose Byrne (X-Men: First Class) are new parents who just want a decent night’s sleep when a group of hard-partying frat boys, lead by Zac Efron (High School Musical), moves in next door in the new comedy Neighbors (rated R), opening Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.

Hot on the heels of last year’s epic Oz the Great Powerful comes yet another return to the Emerald City in the new animated adventure Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return (rated PG), also opening Friday in Kill Devil Hills, playing in both 2D and 3D formats.
