Hansel and Gretel are coming to the Outer Banks this summer, presented by Children’s Theater of Charlotte

The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte presents a new twist on this classic fairy tale in their production of Hansel and Gretel.

“My vision for this modernized version of Hansel and Gretel was to tell a story about protecting the ones you love,” director Joe Hernandez said. “The story takes the family on a journey through an enchanted forest to not only find safety but also to bring together a family that is on the verge of divorce.”

The Children’s Theater of Charlotte will present Hansel and Gretel on June 18-20 at 10:30am each day in the Indoor Theatre at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.

The show is recommended for ages 7 and older.

Tickets are $5 and may be purchased in advance at the Festival Park ticket office or on the day of the event.
