Lonely Teardrops Headline Beach Party At Port O’ Call [Concert Preview]

Posted By on April 28, 2014

Virginia Beach surf rock band The Lonely Teardrops will return to the Outer Banks this week to headline the Shake-N-Stomp Beach Party to kickoff the 2014 summer season at Port O’ Call in Kill Devil Hills.

The band describes their sound as “go-go meets garage does surf music gone wild.”

NME Magazine says, “Imagine a cocktail of the colorfully crowd pleasing stage antics of Southern Culture on The Skids mixed with the musical dynamics of The White Stripes, add a double shot of Link Wray and Dick Dale stirred vigorously in a Detroit Cobras martini shaker, and you would have only scratched the surface of this engaging house party grenade. These kids have discovered the magic formula for hatching even the harshest wallflower out its shell.”

Joining The Lonely Teardrops live on stage this weekend will be Deadly Lo-Fi and The Larchmont Trash, also hailing from Virginia.

Presented by Ravra Productions, the Shake-N-Stomp Beach Party is happening this Friday, May 2, at Port O’ Call in Kill Devil Hills.

Showtime is 9pm.
