Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – April 4, 2014: ‘Captain America’ Returns
Captain America is back in theaters this week in the latest chapter from the ever-growing Marvel cinematic universe, while Fayetteville, North Carolina native Julianne Moore finds Non-Stop action at The Pioneer.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of April 4, 2014!
The action drama Non-Stop (rated PG13), starring North Carolina native Julianne Moore (Carrie) and Liam Neeson (Batman Begins), starts Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, playing for one week.
Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

The only new release playing locally this week is Marvel’s sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier (rated PG13), premiering with a special preview screening tomorrow (Thursday) at 8pm and officially opening on Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, playing in both 3D and traditional 2D formats.
Returning as the patriotic title hero is Chris Evans (Not Another Teen Movie, The Fantastic Four), along with Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers), Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2), and Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The First Avenger) reprising their roles from previous films, with the new additions of screen icon Robert Redford (The Sting) and North Carolina School of Arts alum Anthony Mackie (The Adjustment Bureau) as Falcon.
