Outer Banks Pirates Invade ‘The Lost Colony’ This Summer

How I Became a Pirate

Thanks to the support of Outer Banks Ace, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from June 17th-August 13th, those young minds will the have opportunity to experience the professional theatrics of The Lost Colony’s Children’s Theatre production of “How I Became a Pirate”.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, young or young at heart, if you love a good pirate’s tale, this play is for you!

Based upon the book “How I Became a Pirate” Written by Melinda Long and Illustrations by David Shannon, imagination & fantasy run wild in this hour of family fun!

For over 40 years the cast of The Lost Colony has produced a show just for kids, and this summer they’ll be flying the Jolly Roger!

 Terrific songs like “A Good One To Boot,” “Green Teeth,” “I’m Really Just a Sensitive Guy,” “You’ve Got to Talk Like a Pirate,”  “Pirates Dot Aaargh!,” and many others will have you rolling in the aisles and leaving the theatre secretly wishing for Braid Beard and the gang to one day pay you a visit.
