Kelly’s Bringing Heart Tribute to Nags Head [Concert Preview]

Posted By on March 25, 2014

The Outer Banks is getting the next best thing to having the actual Wilson sisters of Heart in town when the country’s top tribute to the classic rock band comes to Kelly’s in Nags Head this April.

Heart Brigade will be live at Kelly's Outer Banks Tavern in Nags Head on April 5, 2014.

Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Heart Brigade is billed as the ultimate tribute to Heart, performing your favorite songs by Ann and Nancy Wilson from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s with love and respect.

With Suzi Nelson on lead vocals, you will think you’re hearing Ann Wilson herself. Suzi is not afraid to take on the challenge of singing songs like “Alone”, “Barracuda”, and “What About Love”.

Susan Darney performs Nancy Wilson’s signature intricate acoustic and electric guitar licks, as well as vocal lead and harmonies, on such songs as “Crazy On You” and “These Dreams”.

With the help of the rest of the band (Kevin Segrist on lead guitar, Amy Hall on drums, Jeff Reynolds on bass, David “Romey” Nodine on keys), they are perfectionists at creating a true Heart concert experience, focusing not just on the music, but also the stage display. Detailed effort is taken to create an ambiance reminiscent of an actual Heart show. This alone sets them apart from many other tributes.

And, of course, no Heart concert is complete without a Led Zeppelin cover.

Heart Brigade will be live in concert at Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head on Saturday, April 5.

Showtime is 10pm.
