The musical by Lionel Bart is based on the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens and follows the life of the orphan Oliver from his miserable existence in a workhouse to his work in an undertakers shop to his escape to London where he meets the Artful Dodger and Fagin.

Soon he learns to pick pockets as a means to survive.  Along the way he meets a colorful collection of characters drawn from Dickens’ own experience and imagination.

Oliver’s story and others are told through outstanding musical numbers that are sure to delight the audience including, “Food, Glorious Food”, “I’d Do Anything”, “Where is Love?”, “Who Will Buy”, “As Long As He Needs Me”, and “Consider Yourself”.

The cast includes over 40 local children and adults.
