Dare County Arts Council Announces Art Party Workshops

Posted By on February 19, 2014

Dare County Arts Council is pleased to announce a new series of fun workshops beginning February 27.

Bring your friends to the Dare County Art Council every third Thursday for an Art Party, led by instructor Mari Beth LaRose. Each month will feature a new theme in painting.

February’s theme will be “Spring Poppies.” Nourish your creative side and daydream a little about spring flowers as you learn to create an original painting on canvas. Simple, step by step instruction will be given on painting techniques.

Everyone is welcome – from beginners to advanced artists.

You are welcome to bring a bottle of wine or beverage of your choice and/or an appetizer to share. Participants will gather at 6:30pm to eat, drink, and enjoy each other’s company before we begin painting. The art making is from 7pm – 9pm.

The cost for each Art Party is $35 for DCAC members or $40 for non DCAC members.

You must call to preregister at (252) 473-5558, so that we will have your supplies ready!

Dare County Arts Council is located at 300 Queen Elizabeth Avenue in downtown Manteo.

“Poppies” will be featured in the first of a series of Art Parties offered every third Thursday at Dare County Arts Council.
