Dare County Arts Council Offers Artist's Way Workshops

Posted By on February 4, 2014

The Dare County Arts Council is inviting you to live more creatively through a series of workshops scheduled to explore the Artist’s Way this spring.

Outer Banks Inner Journey

These workshops are open to everyone, both artists and otherwise.

Based on Julia Cameron’s best selling book The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity, this 12-week journey will include a circle of like-minded “travelers” intent on discovering or recovering their dreams and engaging in a process of inner exploration designed to unlock the artist within.

Each two-hour weekly session will feature meditation and yoga for creativity; group check-in for sharing insights, successes, and challenges encountered on the journey; guided discussions of weekly readings from The Artist’s Way; and activities designed to release creativity.

The Artist’s Way Workshop sessions will be held each Tuesday, beginning March 4 through May 20, from 7 to 9pm at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery in Manteo.

The cost is $240 for all 12 weekly sessions.
