Shallowbag Shag Beach Music Festival Coming Memorial Day 2014

The first ever Shallowbag Shag Beach Music Festival has just been announced for Memorial Day 2014.

This concert event will be presented by the promoters of the highly successful Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival, which will be returning to Manteo for its third year in 2014.

The innaugural Shallowbag Shag Beach Music Festival is happening on Memorial Day, May 26, 2014 in the outdoor pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.

Ticket prices will range from $10 to $30.

Bill’s contribution to the ongoing preservation of this successful legacy has earned him five Grammy nominations and numerous other awards. In 1988, the group was inducted into the R-n-R Hall of Fame. Bill is currently a philanthropist promoting equality in education, social justice and Civil Rights for women in disadvantaged communities on the African continent and throughout the world. He is an impassioned advocate of women’s empowerment and education. His Drifters organisation partners with several notable Trusts and nonprofit organisations to performs benefit concerts throughout America and around the world promoting various humanitarian causes.
