Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of October 18, 2013!
The animated family-friendly sequel Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (rated PG) is playing at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, starting this Friday for a one week run.
Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.
Again starring the voice talents of Bill Hader (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Anna Faris (Scary Movie, The House Bunny), and James Caan (The Godfather), you can watch a preview in the player below!
Leading this week’s new releases is the return of one the most famous names in horror, when Chloe Grace Moretz (Dark Shadows) takes over the role of Carrie (rated R) in the latest big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s first novel about a tortured high school girl how eventually turns her powers to move objects against her snobby classmates who tormented her.
Also starring Fayetteville, North Carolina native Julianne Moore (Hannibal) as Carrie’s unhinged psycho-religious mom, Carrie opens Friday, playing locally at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.

Also new this in theaters this week, Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator) and Sylvester Stallone (Rocky, Rambo) team up in the futuristic action adventure Escape Plan (rated R), also opening Friday.
