Koru Beach Klub to Host Trunk or Treat Concert [Halloween]
The Koru Village Beach Klub is bringing a Halloween celebration for all ages to Avon this year.
On Halloween night, Thursday, October 31, Koru Village will host a Trunk or Treat followed by a concert and costume party at the Beach Klub from 4:30 to 10pm.
“The Trunk or Treat will provide a safe environment for children to trick or treat. Cars are going to be decorated for Halloween and we will be giving out candy,” said Vice President of the Avon Property Owners’ Association Pat Weston.
The Trunk or Treat is free and will be in the Beach Klub’s parking lot from 4:30-6:30pm. If you are interested in having a ‘trunk’ in the lot, please call Koru Village and sign up in advance.
“DECA is excited to participate in the Trunk or Treat. We enjoy working with the islands’ youth and it is a great opportunity for us to be able to use our event planning skills,” said Cape Hatteras Secondary School Senior and DECA’s Vice President of Publicity Alexis Gray.
Following the Trunk or Treat, the Beach Klub’s PapaWack Theatre will have live music by Holy Ghost Tent Revival from 7-10pm.
Holy Ghost Tent Revival, based in Greensboro, NC, has built a reputation for delivering a fast-paced, horn-driven rock and roll experience with catchy, danceable numbers.
“This town has roots that run deep. One of the first areas to be settled, it has had time to collect some ghosts, and we’re thrilled to join them this Halloween,” said Matt Martin of Holy Ghost Tent Revival.
There will be costume contests throughout the evening, and Koru Village’s Beach Klub will be decked out for Halloween with décor too.
Tickets to the concert and costume party are $7 in advance and $10 at the door and can be purchased at Koru Village or online at brownpapertickets.com.
