Weekend Movie Update – April 26, 2013: ‘Pain’ And The ‘Wedding’
Family drama erupts during a Big Wedding in theaters this week, while bodybuilders feel Pain, and Paul Rudd and Tina Fey go back to college at The Pioneer.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of April 26, 2013!
Tina Fey (NBC’s 30 Rock) and Paul Rudd (I Love You Man) are a perfect match in the new romantic comedy drama Admission (rated R), opening at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, starting this Friday for a one week run.
Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.
The film is about the surprising detours we encounter on the road to happiness, as Rudd decides to reunite Fey’s character with the son she secretly gave up for adoption years ago.

New this week, an all-star cast attends The Big Wedding (rated R), a new comedy about a long-divorced couple who pretend to still be married as their family unites for their adopted son’s wedding to fool his ultra-conservative biological mom. opening Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.
Starring Robert De Niro (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull), Katherine Heigl (Knocked Up, 27 Dresses), Diane Keaton (The Godfather, Baby Boom), Amanda Seyfried (Mama Mia, Red Riding Hood), Topher Grace (That ’70s Show, Spider-Man 3), Susan Sarandon (Thelma and Louise), and Robin Williams (License to Wed).

Also new in theaters this week is Pain & Gain (rated R), starring Mark Wahlberg (Plant of the Apes, The Fighter), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids), and Bar Paly (The Ruins), and directed by Michael Bay (Transformers, Pearl Harbor).
