Following in the tradition set forth at the first two conventions of its kind to delight horror movie fans in the area, Blood at the Beach III is shaping up to be the biggest event yet, with numerous icons of the genre already confirmed to be in attendance all three days.

Doug Bradley played the pain-loving demon Pinhead in the classic Hellraiser and seven sequels that followed, including Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, which was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina in 1992.

Kane Hodder has played hockey mask-wearing slasher Jason Voorhees in four different Friday the 13th films, more than any other actor; but more recently he is known as Victor Crowley in the Hatchet films. He is returning to Virginia Beach for the second time after attending Blood at the Beach II in November of 2012.

Tyler Mane is the only actor to ever play Michael Myers in two consecutive films, putting on the classic jumpsuit and white mask of Myers in director Rob Zombie’s 2007 Halloween remake and its 2009 sequel. Mane has also appeared in X-Men, Troy, and most recently his own first production from Mane Entertainment, Compound Fracture.

John Kassir voiced The Crypt Keeper in HBO’s groundbreaking Tales From the Crypt for seven seasons from 1989 to 1996, as well as four movie adaptations that followed. He has also voiced numerous other memorable characters, including Crazy Smurf in the 2011 family film The Smurfs and General Fallon’s small head in Jack the Giant Slayer, now in theaters.

Michael Rooker, whose character Meryl Dixon had a huge story arc in the most recent season of AMC’s hit zombie show The Walking Dead, is returning to Virginia Beach after attending the first Blood at the Beach Convention in April of 2012. Rooker will be joining fellow Walking Dead cast members Lew Temple, Vincent Ward, and North Carolina actress Addy Miller, making her third appearance in Virginia Beach.

Soles, who also starred in the classics Halloween and Carrie.

Michael Rapaport (True Romance, Boston Public) is making his first ever convention appearance, as are Josh Stewart (The Dark Knight Rises), Lyman Ward (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), and Brandon Quintin Adams (The Sandlot, Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker).

One of American pop culture’s favorite icons, Eddie Munster himself, Butch Patrick will also be at the event, along with over 30 other celebrity guests already confirmed and more to be announced.
