Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival 2013 Lineup Revealed [Concert Preview]

The 2nd Annual Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival returns to Manteo this fall with three more days of the world’s top bluegrass musicians live in concert.

Last year’s headliner, bluegrass queen Rhonda Vincent is coming back to Festival Park to play two nights on Saturday and Sunday this time with her band The Rage, joining other returning performers from the inaugural festival, including Drymill Road, Cumberland River, Banjo Island, Nu-Blu, and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.

New additions to the lineup this year include Grammy nominated Friday headliners The Grascals, along with Russell Moore & Iiird Tyme Out, Loraine Jordan & Carolina Road, The Moore Brothers, and The James King Band, among a total of more than 20 musicians set to take the stage over the weekend.

The 2nd Annual Outer Bluegrass Festival is happening Oct. 4-6, 2013 at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo, NC.

The concert starts at 11am on Friday and Saturday and at noon on Sunday, and the festival will kick off with a special screening of the classic bluegrass-fueled film O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), starring George Clooney, on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 5pm at The Pioneer Theatre in Manteo.

Tickets are $35 each day or $75 for all three days, and can be purchased online here.
