Weekend Movie Update – Nov. 16, 2012
Spielberg does Lincoln in Richmond, Virginia and the Twilight Saga concludes in theaters this week, while Gerard Butler rides the biggest waves ever surfed at The Pioneer.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of Nov. 16, 2012!
The local surf community should love dropping in on Chasing Mavericks (rated PG), an inspirational true story featuring some insane big wave action, opening at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, starting this Friday for a one week run.

Following four hugely successful films, the popular Twilight Saga teen vampire franchise concludes with Breaking Dawn Part 2 (rated Pg13), and local fans are in for a treat, as KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills is showing a marathon of the four previous movies starting today (Thursday) at noon and concluding with the premiere of the newest release at 10pm tonight.

Filmed on location in Chicago, Ill. and Richmond and Petersburg, VA, director Steven Spielberg’s (Jaws, E.T.) epic Lincoln (rated PG13) opens Friday, starring Daniel Day-Lewis (Last of the Mohicans) as the celebrated 16th U.S. President.
