Local Zombie Commercial to Air All October on Charter [Photo Gallery]

Zombies will be in your living rooms all this month, as the official promo for the Outer Banks Horror Film Festival and Zombie Beach Walk is set to air locally in regular rotation for the next four weeks.

Filmed on the north side of the Outer Banks Fishing Pier in South Nags Head last week, the official commercial will air on Charter Cable throughout the month of October leading up to the event, according to director and festival mastermind Thomas Kerr.

The ad was created to promote the the first ever Outer Banks Horror Film Festival and Zombie Beach Walk, happening on Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27 in Kill Devil Hills.

Film submissions are currently being accepted for consideration to be included in the innaugural Outer Banks Horror Film Festival at OBXHorrorFest.com.

The top three feature-length films and the top three short films submitted will be screened during the festival, with one winner from both categories to receive a $100 cash prize from the festival judges. Awards will also be presented for the audience’s favorite films in both categories.

The spooky two-day event will kick off with a “zombie mixer” on Friday night, Oct. 26, followed by the film festival, zombie walk, and a “zombie ball” on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Ramada Inn in Kill Devil Hills.

Tickets are $10 for the mixer, $15 for the film festival, $5 for the walk, and $10 for the ball, or $40 for the whole package, and can be purchased now by emailing [email protected].
